Technical Solutions Manager (TSM) job is a Client facing Job Role. TSMs are expected to spend 40-70% of their time in face-to-face discussions with IBM Clients. They are responsible for development and sales of IBM Strategic Outsourcing solutions directly to clients. TSMs lead multi-national, multi-Discipline teams of subject-matter experts. They use a combination of IBM standard and custom elements, including services, labor, assets, hardware, and software product to orchestrate the development of complex, multi-year, solutions and associated cost cases, all with the goal to ensure consistent delivery of high quality services and/or solutions which meet client business and technical requirements and fulfill IBM's obligations. TSMs own the definition of services solutions, are accountable for the overall success of the engagement and are the primary source of IBM Global Services engagement management and solution design around the world and across all product and technical Disciplines. The TSMs leadership provides the foundation of the IBM solution that influences IBM sales teams, human resources, C&N and delivery strategies for the engagement. They work with autonomy and independence from competing interests (Delivery, Pricing, Sales) on behalf of both the client and IBM in terms of their respective strategic interests. They remain circumspect using good judgment and discretion and manage risk and the client relationship.

Hybrid Cloud: solution design and development based on at least one of the most common offerings (AWS, Azure, Google, Red Hat Open-Shift, Red Hat Ansible, IBM Public Cloud) Certification(s) Cloud based (e.g. AWS, Microsoft, RedHat, IBM Cloud) are a valid added bonus Leadership: provide guidance to Architect's regarding the solution strategy and scope. Provide guidance to management on issues and suggested resolutions Communications: english both verbal and written. Need to be able to communicate with multiple levels of IBM Industry and Delivery, counterparts up to executives and customer technicians, managers and executives Financial skills: able to understand base cases, cost cases, FTE calculations, financial models, etc. Project Management: including Risk, Issue, Time, Change Management to include identification, mitigation and tracking. The TSM creates and maintains the overall engagement calendar based. Language requirements: French - C1 or above.
